A very odd
piece of work by Japanese editors which captures the horrorific
and comedic elements of the film while adding that signature Asian
touch.
Amityville
Horror, The (Japanese)
One of the
scarier Japanese trailers I've seen so far. I wonder how the English
trailer stacks up to this one.
Cannibal
Apocalypse (Japanese)
This short
trailer features only ONE shot from the entire movie, fortunately
it's the most important shot. The Japanese know what works.
Dead
and Buried (Japanese)
Another nice
odd trailer which follows in the proud Japanese tradition of giving
away most plot points and showing us every single cool special
effect in the movie.
Insemnoid
(Japanese)
I believe
the entirety of this trailer was simply lifted from the internatinoal
English trailer
with some Japanese Subtitles added.
Salem's
Lot (Japanese)
Most likely
this the theatrical trailer for Herald's Japanese release. There's
not much to this clip but it's still interesting to hear the japanese
narrator pronounce "Tobe Hooper." Great stuff.
Tenebre
(Japanese)
Easily the
best trailer ever cut for Tenebre as well as one of the best Dario
Argento film trailers of all time, this rapid montage of pieces
is edited to Kim Wilde's "Take Me Tonight."
The
Strawberry Statement
An incredibly
obscure early seventies student protest film featuring a dynamite
soundtrack and an young Bruce Davison.
Pigeons
This trailer
for John Dexter's 1971 film compares it to Midnight Cowboy.
Simon,
King of the Witches
A slightly
less-obscure film but still rather hard to find.
